Hungarian Folk Dance ~ every Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm

Liven up your Mondays with an evening of fun-filled dance in Norridge! Under the direction of Noemi Toka and Aron Trufan, come and learn folk dances from diverse regions of Hungary and Transylvania. Our group’s mission is to actively preserve Hungarian dance and traditions, and to share this rich folk culture with others. The dancers have performed at various Hungarian events in the Chicagoland area.

Beginner dance classes have just started on August 26, 2013 on Mondays from 7-9pm! If you are interested, please don’t hesitate to come and join us!


Ping-pong / Chess / Pool ~ every Tuesday from 7pm

This night is for the men! Our small, but very competitive ping-pong group is looking for new challenges! Come if you would like to test your technique, speed and abilities. To keep up with this ambitious group, you will need to stay on your toes!

Our pool table and chess board can also provide you with an excellent opportunity to relax or just have fun with friends.


Kaláka – Craft group ~ every other Friday from 5:30 pm

Come and join us for a fun girls-night-out full of Hungarian folk jewelry making, knitting, embroidery, crochet … and more. Formed in February, 2012 as beading club, but it grew to accommodate other forms of crafts as well – and it is rapidly gaining popularity. We welcome beginners, intermediate and advanced level crafters. Bring your own project and let’s have fun together!



Hungarian Language Classes ~ every Sunday from 9:30 – 10:50am

This free course for adults, will teach you how to read, write and speak our beautiful language.  Is your granddaughter, wife or boyfriend is Hungarian?  Would like to gain some knowledge about this unique language? Bring your notebook and your pen, and join us on Sunday mornings.  Everything else will be provided for you!
